Great place for family.
Winter hours are 10 am -4 pm every day (Mon-Sun). They've expanded the winter-friendly capacity a lot, with indoor viewing for giraffes, rhinos, a big indoor aviary (birds), the big tortoises, penguins, etc. Many of the animals are outside unless it's very cold (~below 20). It's not crowded this time of year, and it can be a great outing.
It is open all year round. But in the winter there are a lot of animals not on exhibit. Also the kids area is shutdown.
