People who work here does not know what documents are valid. Went there 3 times and cannot get my wife's last name updated. Why didn't you tell this on first visit? Been trying from one year and still can't get this done.

I've tried to report my rent, sent in a letter last month, no response. I spent two hours on hold and then the guy hung up after he asked me to hold. Now I'm on hold again, an hour so far. How do they expect you to report anything? I'm so frustrated. I just want to report a change.
No you can apply online. They have refused to let anyone make an appointment at the Polk County SSA office for months I've been trying for over 4 months because I have to prove my daughter is real for a new SS card and don't know her SS number. I have PTSD and standing in line outside or waiting is very very difficult and I've been very clear about it. I'm on SSDI myself and applied online in 2005 don't make an appointment and they can only ask questions not help you file the correct paperwork.
How do I reach someone to set up an appointment to correct my date of birth without waiting an inordinate amount of time on hold? Can I request a call back?

Yes you have that option. But when I have tried to get a call back i never get one. So i guess you can chance it but idk

No, you have to bring in all of the information needed and fill out a form along with having all of the necessary identification, and then they'll sit you down asking a few questions. After they conclude your appointment, they'll set it up for mail, 2 weeks later or so it'll come in the mail for you.
I have been receiving phone calls - a lot of phone calls stating that my social security number has been compromised and that there is a warrant out for my arrest. do you make phone calls to people like this?

If it was ruled in your favor that you one and you are going to get disability it should be within a week or two everything has to be processed correctly it sucks but that's how long it takes
Contact Social Security administration and let them know you are changing accounts and give them the info,,same bank,,changing old acct # to new account #. They SSA needs to update there system first. Ssa will give you the time frame that the check will go into the neew acct. Just for your info,, I changed states and bank when doing so this is how I handled it,, I personally went into the office.Hope this helps you!!!!

I'm pretty sure it is free. Don't quote me on that though. But go to your courthouse. And you fill out a paper there to change ththe birth certificate. And then once that is changed, then you would go to social security and get the card updated.
I was told that you get reviewed in April and October for your social security benefits, because I have been working since drawing social security. I have not received a letter in the mail. Also cannot get into my account because of a password.
