How long does it usually take for the application process? I’ve called everyday and cannot get an answer. I’ve left messages and received no call back. My family and I are a bit frustrusted by the lack of communication.

I would suggest you go to the shelter and ask to speak with an adoption team member. That is the fastest and easiest way to get you a dog. Right now until the end of June Imo's pizza are paying the adoption fees for dogs 6 months and older.

I went down and put in an application and was accepted within 20 minutes. Then it took a little time to find the nice dog that I wanted and that was about maybe a couple weeks or a month and it came over from Illinois and I got it.

When my brother and sister in law adopted from Stray Rescue it was a really fast process by going in person. It is easier hat way as you can visit with the animals that are up for adoption and find one that would fit your family/lifestyle better. Where as online the pictured animals may have just been adopted by in person visitors and home checks would need to be done etc. So I'd suggest planning an in person visit
