We did not have a good experience here. My two year old labrador retriever went to meet another puppy there to see if they were a match. My lab is like most labs licks everyone, is happy, and does not have trouble with other dogs. The good news is they were a great match and we were so excited to get the dog. The volunteer at the shelter raised no concerns at the time of the meeting. The next day, surprisingly, they issued a denial for adoption. They cited that the foster person did not feel comfortable with us. I spoke to the president of the shelter who wholly supported the foster volunteerβs decision without having been there or considering that the volunteer couldβve made a mistake. I simply asked if my dog could meet that dog again because I think they got it wrong. They refused and moved on. This was very upsetting for our family and something that is not easily repaired. I think this comes down to customer service and how you position the organization. As a business owner myself I always try to look at situations objectively instead of with a bias. I urge anyone who visits the shelter to proceed cautiously and ensure that you impress the volunteer, because thatβs what itβs all about.

They are very friendly, outgoing volunteers that give 150% to the animals. They make sure you know all about the pet before you adopt to make sure it's a perfect fit.

18+ only
I'm pretty sure that they are a shelter for cats and dogs only.
Right now we don't have any Golden retrievers. Thanks for looking and good luck
Shelter requests appointments because volunteers are only there at certain hours.
Normally we do not. We require a wellness check in order to take an animal & we almost always have a waiting list.
