This place is wonderful. What a great idea. Retirement home for cats if not adopted. I cannot say enough on the Clowder House. The cats are so well taken care of and receive so much love and care. Diane is probably one of the best animal lover ever. She has dedicated her life to these cats 100 percent. She spends 7 days a week caring for the cats.

Wanted to retract my last review about this establishment. I still appreciate the mission they have so I’ll keep it at least 2 stars, but I’m still irked by their adoption process (or lack thereof). They either need new management or be willing to get a volunteer to start listing cats online. To say that most of the volunteers are older and can’t use the computer is honestly an excuse. People can learn. They need to do better. The main woman who runs the place (god bless her heart) needs to be more open. They have over 300 hundred cats and at least 1/3 of them are adoptable!! But you wouldn’t know it because it’s almost NEVER advertised. Plus the main lady in charge is the only person with information on the cats and even then you don’t get much of a solid answer. Most adoptions are through volunteers via word of mouth and that’s so outdated. If they want to raise money, they need to adopt out cats. Collecting Adoption fees and less mouths to feed would generate a lot of income and not to mention save money. Plus it would open up the space to cats who really need it. A lot of cats seemed sick (upper respiratory) and have spent basically their entire lives there, and that needs to change.

Volunteered at this place a couple of times, was told how much the cats were to adopt as that was my primary reason for wanting to volunteer. Life took a crazy turn and I couldn't volunteer anymore. Still interested in adopting, went there to get word about adoptions and was told by Diane to set up an appointment via email, get visiting hours ect. Reached out via email, was very disappointed to find out that she retracted her offer. Only a few days later. A lot of hassel and back and forth could have been avoided if she was more truthful with me from the start.

Great place to volunteer as long as you don't have cat allergies. Everybody there is incredibly kind and they run a tight ship considering all of the fluff balls they have to deal with.
