Regular session hours are Monday-Thursday, 7:30am until 10:30pm, Saturday, 8am until 4pm, and Sunday, 12 noon until 8pm. Google UMSL Thomas Jefferson Library to see current hours for breaks and holidays. Hours are also updated constantly to reflect intersession and holiday changes.
The library does not have a dedicated genealogy section nor a genealogy specialist. However, as a university research library, in addition to the Mercantile Library and State Historical Society of Missouri-St. Louis which are also housed in the Thomas Jefferson Library building, we do have various materials that are regularly consulted by genealogists, usually by referral from more specialized genealogy units such as the outstanding St. Louis County Library which does have a dedicated staff specialist and collection.
