Wow! How did you get your hands on one of those?? Anyhoo, I would call and ask, or just stop by. They pretty much fix anything, and someone in the store may remember Zundapp bikes. Good luck!
Never heard of a Zundapp bike. Best to call them.
Zundapps were even more popular in Germany than BMW before WW2. The "Z" got the main contract to produce 3 wheeler side car bikes (2 wheel drive) for the Wermacht. After the war they became known as that "Nazi" bike and lost favor. In 1950 the allies allowed Germany to export again and BMW and other motorrader companies started up! BMW had more financial backing and was able to continue to produce excellent quality 4 cycle bikes. Zundapp tried to save $$ and only produced the KS601 4 cycle but it was an excellent bike for the time. Also interesting is that the Zundapp was the first to invent the famous opposed twin engine. Debatable for sure with Beemer fanatics! The WW2 Zundapp 750 was actually a 4 cylinder opposed twin. All other Zundapp models were little 2 strokes like the one I have, a 1957 Zundapp 200 Challenger. The reason I am rebuilding mine is that it was my father in laws bike and he rode it for years! Blah blah blah, sorry about the rant. 🤤
