We purchased over $600 worth of their raised bed soil this year for new beds. Our old beds are growing great, but the beds with the new soil won’t grow anything. The soil is dry and won’t hold any moisture. It has a lot of grass and weeds in it. There is also a LOT of trash debris in it - bottle caps, pieces of shingles, nylon rope fibers. I called MOR to ask for suggestions about the trouble I’m having with the soil and was told “it was probably mixed wrong, it happens sometimes.” I’m not a beginner gardener and I’ve never had soil so bad. It’s disappointing that not only is the product bad, they don’t seem to have any customer service. At this point, sadly, I would not recommend this company.

Ordered 4 yards of top soil, wound up needing 8 yards and they were able to come out much sooner than I feared to finish the job. Now my backyard will look fantastic this summer and having them blow the soil where it was needed saved us a ton of time. Would absolutely recommend them for any soil needs you may have. Friendly, professional, and above all worth the money!

Got some 5 yards of the composted forest product and 8 bags of topsoil. It filled my two sheet-metal raised beds and then some. I added some inoculants and mixed in the topsoil into the top layer with some lime. Plants seem to be happy. I'll keep an eye out for nitrogen deficiency. The forest product is practically a sponge, so the drainage is excellent. With any luck the inoculants will be happy and helpful. The enriched topsoil contains plenty of sand, you can tell by how it crumbles. It's good and loose with an acceptable amount of clay. The blend I made on top should foster healthy plant nutrition and the media below should house some happy mycorrhizae and bacteria. It's my raised bed mix on a budget. I was told it was impossible, but that just felt like a challenge. We shall see.

I had 8.5 cubic yards of topsoil with grass seed mixed in blown into my backyard after having a new sewer pipe put in. The entire process from start to end was wonderful. The soil was very nice quality and was blown in mid September and within in few weeks I had a nice batch of grass. Jim did a great job blowing it in and then advising me on how to care for it. I highly recommend this service and Jim!

I don't know about what the city will provide. However Missouri Organic is not a city institution. Though very reasonably priced, they do charge for their products.
