Plenty of awnings for shade; a large pool for swimming and keeping cool, 3'5" all through. Diving boards and deep water in a separate pool to the side. Very safe for young kids not confident swimmers! Though it's a hot day, it's not very crowded. A $12 pass gives you 6 visits, that's two for free! That means if Mom doesn't swim, it doesn't cost us when we go to the pool.

If I could give zero stars I would. This pool is HORRIBLE!!!! The dirtiest pool I have ever been to and I’ve been to some cheap motels in my life and this one is by far the dirtiest. There were dirt, leaves, bugs and DEAD FROGS in the water. Staff is very rude. There were two female lifeguards that treated my kids and I very poorly. They also had only 2 lifeguards and would only open one pool at a time so the kids couldn’t use the diving board area when the wanted to. Don’t go even doe $3.

The pool is nice, but there were only 2 lifeguards, they tried to tell people to only swim in half the pool due to lack of lifeguards. The diving pool was far from clean and the water was hot.

We tried this pool out on a Saturday in June for the first time. It has a cool vibe with the restored historic pool, and $1 weekends are a great deal, but with about 10 out of 11 bathrooms out of order, and you peek in them and their filled with waste, it was a very disgusting experience in the women's bathroom. The pool was a bit crowded but we found a semi quiet space to play. The slide was overcrowded and not very safe because it was not monitored closely by a lifeguard and had kids going in too close after one another, just about on top of each other. At one point there was only one lifeguard in the pool and in three hours I did not hear thrm once blow their whistles at any unsafe behaviors I was seeing in the pool. About an hour before closing time a physical fight broke out between a group of young women and the lifeguard attempted to break it up, but the women took it outside. The police were called and eventually the crowds left the scene. I felt disappointed because I wanted my kids to have a cool city experience and not just hit the suburbs for the "nicer" pools.
