Okay, I have a friend who is a nurse and works in a hospital. My friend tells me that the blood that people donate at the hospital stays at the hospital for the patients to use. The blood that people donate at a blood center is sold to hospitals and other medical facilities for good money.

Blood and plasma or any product Donated to NYBS , are not selling to Hospitals. Nybs is non profit organization. Probably Hospitals pay some money for the Blood Tests they needed before the Hospital gets for the patient. That's all I know. Thanks.

Miniscule to no risk of infection. They don't sell the blood or plasma, it's a donation center
