While in San Antonio, we paid as much to park our car as we did to rent it. Nevertheless, it was worth it.
It's all general down town parking. Honestly, park farther away, and walk there. You'll see more of the city, and maybe even get a better price ;)
Read signs carefully. The number posted may be the starting rate. There are plenty of places price depending on how close you park.
There's a really good parking garage called Saint Mary's parking garage it's $5 all day Friday through Sunday and it's about a mile or two away from the Alamo
There is cheap parking within 2 blocks that are 24 hours, other than that, it's walking.
There is parking that you pay for. If you are staying nearby I suggest you walk or take an Uber.
Parking is not hard to find if you're willing to pay parking garage prices. All day will be 20 bucks. If you're willing to walk about a mile you can find all day parking for 10-15 dollars.
We had a hotel in walking distance, but I understand that Uber is safe down there.
There is street parking, which is usually taken. The Alamo is in close proximity to the riverwalk, so if you are staying near there I suggest walking.You can just use an Lyft, Uber or taxi if walking isn't an option.
