River Center Mall (watch Imax' The Alamo: Price of Freedom and get 3 hours free parking - movie is only 50 minutes) or the parking lot directly behind Alamo is just as easy and affords to opportunity for vehicles that have a higher clearence and cannot enter parking garages.
There are a few lots for parking near the Alamo but you are looking from 10-15$... There is a parking lot across from hard rock cafe which is 6.00 for 1hr.. You could park a little further and just use the electric scooters they rent for 1.00 + .10 per minute, it will get you there fast and they are scattered everywhere
The river center mall. Then just make your way to the alamo. N you have alot of places like Ripley believe or not
We always park at the river center mall and then just walk down the river walk to the Alamo
