There are a few truck stops not too far away, that you should be able to uber or taxi to. The downtown area has hundreds of shops, the river walk filled with historical sights and dining. Along the streets you'll find the Alamo and several museums a short walking distance. It's really a place you can spend a few minutes or the whole day depending on how much time you have.
