The Alamo is free. We did the self audio tour ( $7 a person) and found it outstanding. You got more info than you would just reading the placards.
It is free to enter the Alamo and you can read all the stuff on your own but if you get a tour that's when they charge you but why pay for it when you can read it yourself
Alamos free if u don't take the tour.... I don't recommend it. It's just a bunch of young college girls with annoying voices lol. There not amusing even to a guy like me lol. Tour it yourself take your time.
