I am under the impression that our gym has 24/7 access; if this is correct how can it be closed on the holidays or any days?

On holidays there are no classes or staff. You'll still be able to get into the gym by scanning your phone or keychain at the door.

Your impression is correct. Your assumption that the gym closes for member is not. It's open. Happy Training!
