Unfortunately, no. State Park rules dictate coolers are not allowed on the river. Yes, people do have them on the river, they might also have launched from private docks or were campers who snuck them through. If you are coming through the state park you can't bring a cooler except for medical purposes. I think lunch box sized coolers are overlooked though. The cooler rule is to keep disposable containers off the river. Keep in mind it's $100 ticket per disposable item if FWC catches you on the water with disposable items!! I understand it is upsetting to not be able to bring a cooler but that rule is posted on a big State Park sign right out front of the office there.
