The tube center is separate from the Headsprings. 10830 SW 180th Rd, Dunnellon, FL is the tube center. Drive in and park then walk up to the cashier and they will take payment, fit you for life jackets and take you up to the launch on the next tram run. There's no tubing from the Headsprings because it's a protected area. This is the furthest up the river you can start your tube run. It launches from the campground ramp though so it's further up stream than it looks.
This is as far up the river that you can rent or bring your own tubes. You can rent a canoe at the state park which id's the head of the springs, (29.103151,-82.437299) copy that into you nav.
No, alligators are not a problem. My grand daughters have been many times.
Are alligators a threat?
