Wonderful place, beautiful views and very nice staff. But, remember you are getting into a wild environment and can see all type of animals even gators (even though we were advised that the 99.9% of the people don’t see them) Remember this before getting into the water to avoid panic. We enjoyed the experience but we were a little nervous after we saw them.

Very relaxing experience. If here during the summer, make sure you allow an hour or so to get inside. The lines after 9-10am are quite long. $24 per person if memory serves me right. The tubing is relaxing. The water is cold but pleasant if during the summer heat. The bottom is beautiful as the water is very clear and you see the river plants and fish underneath. Plenty of people tubing and kayaking, so if you’re looking for solitude, this isn’t it. But it’s still very relaxing and you feel presence of nature. The full tubing time is probably around 1.5-2 hours depending on whether you’re also trying to paddle with hands.

My experience was super great. The staff was really helpful and very friendly. They went above and beyond for me since i have a disability. They made sure I felt comfortable and in good hands and the tubing experience was so relaxing and fun. Will definitely go again and recommend them to all my friends and family.

The tube center is separate from the Headsprings. 10830 SW 180th Rd, Dunnellon, FL is the tube center. Drive in and park then walk up to the cashier and they will take payment, fit you for life jackets and take you up to the launch on the next tram run. There's no tubing from the Headsprings because it's a protected area. This is the furthest up the river you can start your tube run. It launches from the campground ramp though so it's further up stream than it looks.
Yes you can I seen a few people snorkeling when I was tubing
Yes, but it costs the same as renting one. I heard from a friend who was there last weekend it's $20 per person regardless of whose tubes are being used. There's no discount to bring your own tube.
There are a couple alligators. Although they are very hard to come across, and I couldn't even see any when I went. Additionally, the chances if them even approaching you is extremely low, there is absolutely no need for concern.
Best days are Monday thur Thursday if you want to go tubing at the kp hole you need to be there by 8am cause there wont be no parking its roughly $20.00 per person to go tubing there is a 4hr tubing adventure as well as a 2hr tubing adventure and i believe there are grills in the park.
No, two weeks ago the tubing facility switched to weekends only since the season is winding down. There are two weekends left in the 2018 season for the tubing facility. This weekend and next weekend will be the last opportunities to tube with the park. It will reopen May 2019. The other posters are mistaken. Visit their Facebook page "Rainbow Springs State Park Tubing Facility - 2018 Unofficial" or check the hours on Google. You can rent kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards at the Headsprings though 7 days a week!! I really recommend visiting the kayak rental facility. It's a great place and they have 3 varieties of kayaks in addition to the paddle boards and canoes. The glass bottom kayaks are awesome.
Unfortunately, no. State Park rules dictate coolers are not allowed on the river. Yes, people do have them on the river, they might also have launched from private docks or were campers who snuck them through. If you are coming through the state park you can't bring a cooler except for medical purposes. I think lunch box sized coolers are overlooked though. The cooler rule is to keep disposable containers off the river. Keep in mind it's $100 ticket per disposable item if FWC catches you on the water with disposable items!! I understand it is upsetting to not be able to bring a cooler but that rule is posted on a big State Park sign right out front of the office there.
