Can I bring instant film (the kind for Polaroid cameras) through security and ask for it to not go through the X-ray screening? X-ray will fog the film and it's too expensive to easily replace

I would ask when I book my flight to make sure, and some times when u are booking your flights online they have a security listing on the website...
