What's up Freddie? A lot of the info you have received is not accurate. Although there are programs in which you are required to work...there are also programs that are specifically geared for those, like me, who are in transition and are unable for whatever reason to commit to a 40 hour work requirement. There are also day and overnight shelters nearby. Colorado has plenty of opportunities to help get yourself on the right path. Good Luck and God Bless.
Freddie, DRM offers many programs to help you get back on your feet. In order to stay at the downtown facility you would be required to work 6 days a week at the downtown facility while awaiting transfer to a different program. Some of the jobs @DRM include office work, basic janitorial work, kitchen crew and light facility maintenance/housekeeping. All the positions I have mentioned are basically to keep the facility running in the downtown area. Does that help? You can also call DRM and ask for the latest programs offered.
