There are many resources in and near Denver, Google Denver homeless resources and call around from place to place, explaining your situation to them and ask if they can get you a week, 2 week, or even month-long voucher for the cost of staying here which is, like Chad said, 70$ per week. It is not so much a homeless shelter as it is a transitional housing community. If you're unable to obtain a voucher, and are short the 70$ for the first week, talk to Joe when you get here and ask him for an "ES" (emergency stay) You can have up to 2 of them I Believe, but it's a free 1 night stay so you can go to the local day labor service and make a quick 100$ in a day to pay for your first week. Remember, you have to be sober and have never been a sex offender to be eligible. You also have to work 33 hours a week but Joe and the rest of the staff will work with you on that provided you show them evidence of your trying to gain employment.

Hello, thank you for inquiring about New Genesis. We work with your work schedule and as long as your progressing in the program, your able to stay as long as needed. We do have a curfew of 9pm your first 30 days and 10pm after that. If you start working later in the evening, the curfew wouldn’t apply to you as long as you provide a work schedule. We do intakes between 4:30pm and 6:30pm. Please feel free to drop by to look around and speak to staff. Thank you!
