Helpful place for people in need of shelter.

Never been here before and I was looking for other homeless places and this honestly seems like the lowest out of all the ones that i've been to in Oklahoma City. If anyone that is homeless and actually needs help then come to OKC. they help with rehab and their are a few shelter for youth.
You don't get the vouchers from VOA. DHS or Samaritan House must give you the voucher and tell you where to go to use the voucher.
I believe so. But I'd call and verify. Because it's technically a homeless shelter. But the also take veterans and people discharged from the hospital.
Nope. They will make you rehome your dog within 4 days and if you don't then you get kicked out.
It's open to any family that needs a temporary home. The family must include children. Then they help you find a long term home. Myself and 2 kids received a lot of help from them and were able to become stable in 6 months. I am truly grateful!
Unfortunately not. You would have to be referred to the VOA by DHS be to gain any type of access.
Well I don't know your situation however volunteers of America is not the place 2 inquire about you might want to try Denver rescue mission on Lawrence Street
I'm really sorry but they're really strict about that you might be able to find a place close by there lots of motels around there.
No. But the VOA is a great organization that will provide you time(2weeks) to get on your feet. We put our dog in the denver shelter.
Try calling the Samaritan House.
You get refered by a social worker, and then it's immediate. They call the shelter, you go for an appt. with their worker, to do intake, and then if they take you, you get immediatly. If they haven't changed, then look for dirty rooms. They expect you to do all your own house keeping, without the materials to do so. The one my kids stayed in, was very basic. 2 twin beds, desk, dresser. Fridge was downstairs in the office. Open to everyone, on the honor system. They don't allow ANY visitors. NONE. It's mom, dad, kids inside. No other family allowed with them. (I'm talking from experience here. I wasn't allowed, because I wasn't a part of the parental party. They didn't care if I slept out on the street. Bathroom use? Go find something You aren't allowed inside the gates to use ours. Ues, gates. You have to ring to get in and out. ) There are 2 buildings. One is called the Aristocrat hotel. Good luck if you get in here. I think the max stay is 3 weeks.
This place is is for single mothets or family your best bet is Denver R Rescue Mission
This place is ridiculous. NO PETS allowed. . Buzz to be let in every time you want in. Wrot iron fence all around, makes it look like a mini prison. Still has the Aristocrat hotel sign lit up outside. 2 single beds in the rooms. No visitors. (Or at least that is what they said, tho we saw a lot of them.) Tells you they are a family hotel. Nope. It's mom, dad, kid. (Or domestic partners and kid) No grandparents or other people. No cooking in rooms. Want to store milk for your baby/ small child? Get a cooler. Storing things in the fridge in the office is like a free for all for everyone. And remember. The stay is a 21 day total. Nothing for kids to do. Unless they repaired the tv systems, that won't work ither...
Yes all rooms have showers
ID and SSN and can stay up to 12 days
