Margie knows how to perfectly balance feedback that is sympathetic and honest. There is no one I feel more comfortable confiding in. She is approachable and non-judgemental. She has been my go-to recommendation for counseling for years.

Margie Kaems, an experienced counselor of 20 years, is kind, compassionate & a true professional. She is a great listener, intuitive & sensitive. These qualities lead her to comprehend client's needs & desires thus helping them reach their personal goals. I have known Margie for many years & highly recommend her as an accomplished, ethical & responsible counselor. Patricia Leahy

I've known Margie as clinician for 7 years now and I know her to be thoughtful, profoundly insightful, courageously kind and honest, and wise. All traits that I look for in a counselor. Would (and have) recommend this practice to anyone.

Life threw me more than I could handle on my own. I thought I could handle it all alone but no man is an island. I tried two other counselors and felt defeated until I sat down with Margie. She helped me explore myself so that I could rebuild my side of my marriage. She helped me create boundaries and open my heart from a lifetime of living in survival mode. Gratitude.

Research tells us that YES, therapy works! Don't get us wrong, having a trained, licensed professional is very important to reaching your goals. However, the most important quality that will determine if therapy will "work" for you...whether or not you like your therapist. I'm serious. What is important to us is that you have a chance to connect with your therapist and see if you just like her.
Yes! Our licensed therapists work with a variety of individuals and couples on issues related to relationships. And, because your interactions with others are colored by things like anxiety, depression, past hurts, worries, and fears, these are the very things that your therapist is trained to work with you on.
It totally depends on so many factors. Your motivation...if you are in couples counseling...your partner's motivation, what your goals are, if you do your *homework* outside of your meetings with your therapist, etc. What helps your efficiency is getting clear on your goals -- this is a huge part of your therapist's job...to help you get clear on your goals. And if there are two of you in the session, then helping both of you get clear on what you are working towards.
