Good place for homeless help

Being that I live in my van currently I do not have all of the amenities that I like. This place is a day shelter for the homeless, but if you need a hot shower or you need some mail delivered or you need some services? I would advise visiting the St Francis Center in Denver.

I’ve been calling this place for the last few days. Must be closed. Anyone know of a number that works when called for this place.

No one answers the phone at this place hard to tell if they are even open🤦🏽

Yes they do, HOWEVER, They're"allowance" or "criteria" is never consistent. Be sure to have your proof of current vaccines for the dog, and be wary of favored others who have "service dogs" aka pit bull puppy that lunges at my 17lb service dog poodle sitting calmly in my lap...be prepared with the law in written format and be well versed in it.
Yes you can. I was injured and thought my life was finished. I pulled myself up by my boot straps and regained my health and I'm back to work after a three year battle
If you call the main number they do take messages for every single person. That comes through there.
Arvada Seventh Day Adventist church is there every third Saturday of the month, with a hot meal, snacks, personal care items, clothes, medical care, haircuts and prayer. Come join us.
On-site, occasional laundry was offered by the Bayaud Laundry truck prior to the Pandemic. Service was paused during the outbreak and has not yet resumed.
The St. Francis Center Employment Services program places participants with third-party employers. There is an opportunity to do a cleaning chore at the Center in exchange for access to the Clothing Room. Chores are assigned and performed at specific times each morning, afternoon, and evening.
Go Lawrence and 22 St just follow people with big backpacks
We host a meal, provided by the Catholic Worker Soup Kitchen, on Wednesdays and Fridays from 3 p.m. All other feedings are non-sanctioned and occur outside of the building in the general vicinity. None of these feedings are provided by SFC.
Actually that law is not constitutional. Y. As a United States Citizen we are not required to have I.D... They are trying to take Our Rights away that Our Fore-Father's fought so hard for Us to enjoy and live. It is not illegal to be homeless or to not have a State issued I.D....
I'm sure make sure it clean.....
There are places in downtown where people can get free phones. Just look for the green tent.
Yes. And they can give you a voucher to replace ID as well.
Yes
I have never seen a dog inside the st Francis center but best to call and ask first
I don't go there enough to answer that, but I would advise anyone to utilize patience if you are utilizing St. Francis's resources as well as any other shelter around Denver.
Yes go in and see Lisa or Kalie
No they are a day shelter
Thanks for your question. It is not a certainty that we would have your record on file. The only way to know for sure would be to come down and check with Office 6 and there is no guarantee that your record is available.
2323 Curtis St. for mail pick up.
Yeah
The St. Francis Center provides clothing if needed, counseling, resume writing help, and other similar services at no charge.
Employment Services: Mon-Thu 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Main Facility Daily 6:10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
There should be a 211 number for your area. Call 212 and follow the prompts tell them what you need and they will supply you with all the resources that will help you.
I'm not sure where here is, but if you mean from. St. Francis it's about 2 blocks away on park ave and lawrence. Also, be careful over there because you can get cought up quick.
ST Francis Center does offer storage space the size of a leaf and lawn trash bag. As space is limited due to demand there is a first come first served system held daily for any vacated spaces. Storage can be accessed Mon - Fri from 8am to 3pm. And I believe 9 am to Noon on weekends. During those times storage can be accessed unlimited amount of times. Once a person obtains storage it remains that person's for an indefinite (forever and ever) amount of time PROVIDED storage rules (no food, drugs or hazardous materials to name a few) are followed AND the storage is renewed (revalidated) every 30 days. Renewals can be done in-person, over the phone or by proxy (your friend or relative). My personal experience has been that it took about or within as week to get storage. However I went and staked out my line position early every day until I was able to get storage. Also Wed and Thurs seemed to be the days one would have the best chance of succeeding.
This is a good place for resources and he can be here all day from 6:15a to 5:30p. The mission and voa have overnight shelters for men. The first time he comes here, the intake office will provide him with a packet of info including places for meals, free medical care, employment and housing assistance and other useful things. Hope this helps! Oh, and stout street clinic also offers free medical care for the homeless but he will have to go really early (before 7am) for the best chance to be seen as it's on a first come, first served basis.
Yes for business use only though. Like you can't go on Facebook or anything. And similar sites are blocked as well.
You're more than welcome to come in and get an appointment with our Social Services office (#6) and see what resources are available. You can stay together at our facility. We do not separate couples.
Yes
Yes they have a whole employment center. As far as housing goes they do have case management that could possibly do that.
Anyone can go to this place. Be careful though. And there are a lot of resources out there so use them.
Watch out for the crazy people and bugs. The place smells awful and is lousy with people on drugs. If they can place you it will take a long time. Try Colorado Coalition for the Homeless. Also, if you are a veteran the VOA is very helpful and can be too even if you aren't a veteran. The people that sit at St. Francis all day are the homeless that have given up on life and themselves. Try not to get sucked in. There's a place in Capitol Hill that helps a lot with Senior services. You should also check out 211, it is the United Way resource line. Even DHS on Federal and Holden can help. There are far better resources than St. Francis.
To get ssi you have to go to the social security office then you need to look for a job according to your skills but they will help you with a shelter intil you find a place
