Some of the exhibits are for younger kids. There is also a toddler area that's cute. I went with my the kids 5, 8 and 12. My 12 yr old loved the workshop because he got to use a hammer and nails and build something with wood. He also loved seeing the bees working in the honeycomb and there is this music area. With lights and instruments. All my kids loved that.
My 10 year old did find it boring but some of the classmates enjoyed it. I'd say the interest level varies from child to child.
