Definitely worth going at least once. But my children tired of the exhibits after going too often.
We travel from queens to go there. During the rainy days of the summer.... we take both our kids here to beat the summer heat as we have season pass. They also have outdoor water exhibits.
If your funds are low or have a bunch of kids talk your library about a free pass

Yes it is worth it. It is $13 per person to enter, and kids under 1 are free. Alternatively you can get a yearly membership for $185. It will pay for itself through the year if you go a handful of times. Kids live it!
Not only is it worth going but there is many things to do for the whole family. I have a 5 year old and he had a blast creating pictures, learning about new things and overall having the freedom to touch and experience everything. The only real tip i would suggest is to bring your own snacks.
