I'm going on screening in Anchorage for 1.5 days now...frozen spaghetti sauce will be ruined. UPS will not refund their so-called guaranteed delivery because the scan/checks are imposed by "local government. " What a false excuse! We hired UPS for guaranteed service, not the local government. The burden is on UPS. FEDEX ONLY WAY TO GO.
Like other people ask, why is my package spending 3 days in Anchorage for a security check? It was supposed to have been delivered in Juneau Friday.

If it is coming into anchorage there are plenty of factors that can change it, UPS can currently provide 2 day air to alaska with exceptions of closures and the time it can take to offload the package. Currently, if the packaged is shipped on Thursday as "2day air" the package will show up on Saturday night, but they won't deliver it on Saturday unless postage is paid to deliver on Saturday. (Extra) also they are closed Saturday, Sunday, and then Monday they're playing catch up cause there's no stopping deliveries to the main Anchorage hub. So it might be delivered Monday might not even get sorted until after Tuesday. So it could go from Thursday to the next Wednesday.
