SNAP does not count as income, therefore you don't have to file taxes. However, Cash - (GA) General Assistance and TANF do count as income and so you should recieve tax paperwork from the office at the end of the year.

Every time I gave my tax lady my papers from the welfare office she always puts it aside and says they won't take it so my suggestion is try and claim it see what they say
