Ms. Liggett, Due to COVID-19, we are recommending that Veteran patients get a free flu shot at a community pharmacy that is a part of the VA network, which includes the following: CVS Safeway Costco Walmart Kroger Wegmans (Walgreens is NOT participating this year) To be eligible for this benefit, you must have received care from the VA in the past 24 months. No appointments or referrals are required to get a free flu shot at a community pharmacy that is part of the VA network, but please call the pharmacy before visiting to ensure they are participating. Please inform the pharmacy that you are a Veteran and show them your VA Veterans Health Identification Card. Also. For more details, visit www.maryland.va.gov. Thank you. My husband and I received our flu shots via the drive through process in front of the Fort Meade VA building. No appointment necessary. A staff member walked out just as we drove up. It was an easy and smooth process. Hope this helps!

Walk in. There's an employee right at the front door to help flu shot walk in patients (she's not giving the shots, but she'll check you in).
