This place has extreme rules about credit cards and id. Worse than most car rentals. I watched 20 of the 50 people in line ahead of me hit this snag. All in all a bad rental experience.
You just need a credit card with room for the charge for the rental plus $200+ deposit that they hold on your card.
You need to have a credit card with a limit that covers the amount of the rental plus $200. Same for a debit card. Whichever one you use for the car, Budget places a hold on the account for that amount.
This is typical of most car rentals.
