Yes. They will search it. You can also take in food and water in sealed bottles. Not sure about other beverages. Way better than the cowboys.
Only plastic bottles are allowed, no thermos type cups. If you want a small cooler it must be soft sided and any ridgid inserts must be removed. Although they are very thorough and careful, the check in goes very guickly. They are very much all about keeping everyone safe.
