I've visited there once. The place was pretty creepy and there was some noises heard so yes it's haunted I mean like lots of people died there
Had my senior prom there and we got a small tour in one of the cell block areas and where they executed prisoners, as a person sensitive to the paranormal I firmly believe the state pen to be haunted.
As a Paranormal Investigator who investigates the Old Idaho Pen, pretty frequently then most, i would say yes, yes it is haunted. & i believe that from the scientific evidence we have collected.

Many have said it is. I personally have not experienced anything out of the norm during the "self guided" tours during daylight. Although, I recently took a Paranormal tour at the Old Pen after hours. What fun! Many experienced unexplainable noises, difference in temperature, and chills. Completely safe environment! Love the old penitentiary :-)
