Not a no kill but the ladies at the front will tell you if you ask. It’s a city run shelter and no city run shelter is no kill. Pls get educated and don’t speak about what you don’t know. They clearly care about their animals if you actually watch them interact with them.
Suppose to be. But the two ladies in front are rude and dont want anyone adopting. So they tell u anything
I don't believe they are, I asked them once about a dog that I wanted and they said she didn't have much time left. I never specifically asked if they were no kill but that reply kind of answered my suspicion.
I know for a fact they euthanize. I was once interested in a rotty puppy, came back when it would have been adoptable, and they told me she was put down. All my dogs were saved from being surrendered here.
It's not, and there are only 2 in the DFW area, that do not have an easy surrender process. You can also, always seek a breed specific rescue, if your pet is purebred. But most rescues do NOT take owner surrendered animals, so do research before driving anywhere. If anything, I can suggest you ask the staff if there's any space, or walk around the shelter and see if there's any empty, clean kennels before surrendering your pet. If your pet becomes aggressive or bites any of the staff, they are euthanized for certain. If they're otherwise friendly or temporarily scared, they should be ok. Please don't let anyone trick you into thinking any place is no-kill, unless someone who works there themselves can confirm.
