Notes do nothing. If they did, Amazon wouldn’t have had to repair my car. It’s just lazy.

As a standard it's inconvenient and annoying to most customers due to sleeping schedules, sleeping children / babies, barking dogs and other miscellaneous reasons but you can add to your order notes that you'd like them to hit your doorbell instead of you car. The notes will stay there until you change or remove them. It's a shame the driver didn't notify you unless they didn't feel it. Good luck with future deliveries!
