Your best bet is to go over and ask yourself.
NOT TRUE!!! THEY CAN PRESCRIBE SUBOXONE - BUT YOU HAVE TO PAY. If you're truly serious about getting your life together, and are hesitant about methadone, you could go to the bishop of your ward or the bishop at Welfare Square(even if you're not Mormon) and there's a good chance that you'll get what you need. Also, IF you have a mental health diagnosis, Valley Mental Health has physicians who can prescribe it as well as case mgmt workers who can help you get Medicaid if you qualify. MEDICAID PAYS 100% FOR SUBOXONE. SO DOES MEDICARE. They paid/still pay for mine, as I've been on Suboxone and off heroin for almost 2 yrs
I believe Thursday might be their info class. @like 4pm. They only have a grant to refer you to project reality. no subs, just methadone.
It is good you want to stop. Walk in appointments are the way to become an established patient. Come when the clinic opens, explain your need, and while it may take a while, you will be seen. You also can usually connect with a member of the therapy team. These are amazing folks who provide care, encouragement, and hope for a solid change.
