It takes about 5 min to get up there, so you definitely can take in the gorgeous views! Coming down, you're going pretty fast and can't pay attention to much lol it's alot of fun!
The ride includes a 5 minute ride up the mountain and depending on fast you go downhill (with speeds up to 27 mph), it can be an additional 2 or 3 minutes. When you are going up the mountain by cable, the view is relaxing and beautiful. You will see beautiful views of the city going downhill.

I believe the ride advertisements says 7 min ride. Slow going up which allows you to take in the views. Going down if you hold the handle down you fly at about 25 mph and are winding down the mountain pretty fast.
It really depends on if you use your brakes or not. I didn't use the brakes and it was like a blur. Like everybody else is saying going up you can take in the views but I would say going down you're going to want to have fun.
Ride is Great thru Wears Valley. Beautiful trip maybe 30 to 40 minutes. Been traveling that road since I was a young girl. Love it.

It is about 8 minutes all together. It is full and we always do it at least once when we go down on vacation.
