Our coaster does operate in the rain (excluding severe storms). We have rain shields for our carts that mostly keep you dry. Hope this helps!

I went when it was raining, and I thought it made it faster.
Rain is a totally different experience, in my mind I think it's slicks the track and they go faster, but then again that's just in my mind the rain stings a little bit though when it hits the skin or hits your eyes, I pretty much they operate year-round, and of all the mountain coasters in Pigeon Forge Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster is the best!
Please call before visiting on bad-weather day. Though it is raining in our base cities, it is possibility that it would be snowing there.
