We prefer that riders wear closed toed shoes; however, if a person chooses to wear flip flop or open back sandals then the person will have to remove the sandals/flip-flops and sit on the sandals/flip flops while on the ride.
They prefer closed toed shoes

You will have to remove flip flops and sit on them.
