Hello Pamela, If you’re worried about the size of your ground glass opacities (GGO’s), we would definitely recommend you come in to Fox Chase for a second opinion. Here’s why: lung nodules can be tricky to diagnose. Many current bronchoscopy techniques offer limited visibility to be able to take tissue samples of nodules if they’re smaller or in harder-to-reach places in the lung. That’s why at Fox Chase, we were one of the first centers to introduce robotic bronchoscopy. It allows our pulmonologists a 3-D visualization of lung nodules, which makes it easier and more efficient to take samples for testing to see if it’s cancerous. You can watch a video about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=jatBhU6LfmE If you’d like to make an appointment for a second opinion, call 888-FOX-CHASE. Or you can request an appointment online here: https://www.foxchase.org/request-appointment Sorry for the long answer, but we hope this helps!
Why would you NOT get a second opinion. Fox Chase was my second opinion and they saved my life.
While I'm not quite sure what you are asking. I would recommend Fox Chase to any cancer patient. I am currently in a clinical trial and the results have been wonderful.
