Where is the entrance to walk over the Brooklyn bridge?

Easy entrance to Brooklyn Bridge on the Manhattan side is opposite the entrance to the NYPD HQ.

If you use metro to get there , you will see it when you go out from the metro station .

I didn't see that, I ended up walking over the Manhattan bridge because it was easy to find.
