The long tunnel, very long if there is traffic that is always, that connects New Jersey to New York passing under the Hudson River. Three parallel, narrow and claustrophobic galleries, which you hope to get out of soon. The transition between the suburban landscape of New Jersey and the skyscrapers of New York is jarring and strong. Everything changes totally. It must be done, it must be done, but a nice bridge gives you more safety.

It is a short tour that I call the entrance of (heaven to hell). I admired it the first few times, but when custom disturbs your day-to-day, you only hope to reach your destination "as soon as possible" and pray that one day a mishap does not cross your path, because what only 10 minutes of journey to cross the tunnel is, you can return an hour.

Why not allow bike lane in the tunnel to cross the New Jersey?

If it's bumper to bumper, definitely long. But distance wise, it's not bad. The tunnel lengths vary from about 7,500 - 8,200 feet. At normal 35mph speed, with moving traffic, shouldn't take more than two mins max to pass through.
Take the west side highway straight up from the neck of Battery park
