I would probably park on the brooklyn side near one of the colleges near the bridge to walk towards the manhattan skyline then take the subway back. Garage is always a good idea but I've seen decent parking in front of office buildings and the college which is close to the subway as well.
Honestly I parked my car and a garage where security safe to be in Brooklyn and I can always see it from my window
