New York is now a cashless toll state. When you pass a cashless toll plaza you aren’t required to stop. If you have an ez pass the reader will charge your ez pass automatically. If you don’t have an ez pass the cameras will take a picture of your license plate and sent the bill for the toll to the registered owner of the vehicle.
EZ pass or when you pass and don't have one, you will get a bill in the mail.
