Another cool bridge to walk on . This bridge, built in 1903, was almost entirely rebuilt in the 1990s due to its state of advanced disrepair, I enjoy watching the trains pass below the pedestrian walkway.

I love walking over this bridge. Never to crowded and you get some good views too. Also it leads to Williamsburg.

Yes
I'm not In the area. But as long as you're not around there at rush hour, you shouldn't be any long delays.
The bridge is very busy and has one side for pedestrians and another side for cyclists
Get off at exit to clinton st , brings you to the bridge

Yes it is for now but, there's been talks in the past about a toll.
It depends on how fast you walk, and who you meet on the way. Could be anywhere from 20 minutes to a lifetime.
They don't cross the bus, you can take the J or M train to Brooklyn
Yes. Cyclists are in the north side if the bridge and pedestrians are on the south side of the bridge. One thing to note: the bridge approach from the Manhattan side does not have physical separation between pedestrians and cyclists. However, the width of the approach helps to minimize conflicts.
