I dont know if this is the absolute best or not, but it is definitely convenient. They have reasonably priced rentals and will drive you up river to float back to your car / campsite.
Heyo, so no real hotels nearby but a couple of neat B&B's like the Jmes river Inn which is on the river and a bunch of new AirBnB options have become available recently!
Are there hotels in Scottsville if you aren't a camper?
I agree with everyone else. This is a great place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And Scottsville is a quaint town with some really neat places to eat, there's a great Brewery, and a very nice gallery of Virginia artists and crafts people
In Central VA this is the best. Besides great campsites eight on the river, they're right at the town of Scottsville. Its a tiny town with a LOT of cool features and nice people.
