Hello, I was just at Micro Center Fairfax a half hour ago with a CAT5 cable to buy. When I checked out I was told it was $10.59. Then I was asked my first name, last name, address and email. Is this standard for Micro Center?

Yes, this is standard, it is to sign you up for marketing campaign and special offers, they dont share this info with anyone. If you let them know that you dont want to share, they'll let you move forward with the transaction.
