Well I do know that locals arent getting any special deals (I'm local & I got zero) from My Place Hotel unless their policy is that one must ask about local specials specifically. Your other inquiries I don't have any idea about, however, if Veterans arent getting a discount of some kind I won't stay there again, so please let me know what you find out. Hope this helped a bit.
