It’s beem my experience that vital signs are the CNAs responsibility I work at Osborn and have always assisted my nurse with vital signs. When something is wrong with the patient that’s when the nurses focus their attention but otherwise I have always been trusted to take vital signs like I was trained to assist. It’s crazy you don’t know how to or that that’s your role in assisting a nurse. And yes we take care of beriayric patients but they deserve care just like skinny people so I’m glad you left.
Not nearly enough! They make their c.n.a. do the nurses job. The nurses pass pills out but full vitals are done by c.n.a. Innaddition to showers and delivering meals. The kitchen help doesnt understand english so putting in an order for a resident is a waste of time and thus you will be returning to the kitchen at every meal to ask for the correct order( which if your looking for exercise is a good thing)! My second day a HUGE cockroach went crawling across the floor and sanitation is horrible here. If you work here and quit dont expect to be paid cause its been three weeks and no check sent and your not allowed to go pick it up. Mostly large people live here and if dont care about your back this is the place for you. Please stay away from here, its scary!
