Jonathan's advice sounds spot on to me. The only thing is right now might be a hard time to get a mat, but you can try.

Go there, go through the process of obtaining a Bridge I.D., get a caseworker at The Bridge and as soon as possible develop a plan for employment and housing. Talk to them about being put on the Housing Priority List or putting in an application with the Dallas Housing Authority. They also have Workforce Solutions there. Talk to them about employment or getting a mat there. I hope that helps.
