Stroger is a county hospital, so everything should b free 2 those without insurance.
Yes and they are great, went a few times, damaged my eye 3 times.
After waiting 5 months for my medicaid. I ran out of refills and had to see a specalist. But to get in the system you have to go to ER. I thought they would have assistance programs to those with out insurance.. i have to wait till I get a denial to apply for assistance. Mean while medicaid is still pending.. this is some major B.S i was told im to be responsible for the full bill. Stay away. Im going to northwestern hospital atleast they have assistance programs for uninsured and better service.
The truth is it is NOT FREE if you do not have insurance they will sign you up for a Medicaid program and depending on if you work or have income you will be expected to pay some percentage in some cases if you have no income and are not a depentant of someone like your parents or someone related to you you might end up getting on a program that is no pay but not always it's a case by case basis and once you are evaluated then you will find out what you will be responsible to pay if anything, but it is NOT just a free hospital for everyone that walks in some of the answers I've read here are just not true.
Not really. Nothing is free at the county. If you Obamacare you can come here or go anywhere else. Prescription are costly. Each one is 5.00...if you have no insurance the county will help you get help. Nothing is not free.
I loved the emergency medical series
Do you have to be referred to go here?
No.... Just because it's a County hospital doesn't mean it's free. However, there are programs within the hospital to help with costs.
Yes i am sure
